Animation

Bringing moments, ideas, characters and everyday objects to life has been a passion project that’s then spilled over into professional settings. Animation feels like the final sprinkling of magic on an already excellent project or design.

BNE/MEL

This short animation was published on my LinkedIn and Instagram as a way to introduce myself to my new city. I loved using these personal brand elements to make something that both spoke stylistically to where I’ve been and where I’m going.

Focus Mode

Created while studying Motion Design with Ben Marriott, this piece paired my favourite Ariana Grande remix with a vector-stylized look into my brain when I’m on a roll.

The Meadow

This piece was created as marketing collateral to promote my surface pattern collection. I wanted to channel a Disney-esque multi-plane camera effect, so drew my hilly meadow in layers and added different amounts of zoom to each. I also introduced an animated desired path with a trim paths effect, and a few blurs, shadows and textures.

Frame-by-frame animated illustrations

My brain is always moving, so it made sense to me to make my illustrations move too. These simple frame-by-frame looping animations are drawn in Procreate and always come to be because I feel like a simple sketch needs something *extra*.

BEDA ANIMATIONS

During my time at Aruga, we worked with the Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) to create a series of promotional videos and ads for social. The brand guidelines and assets developed by BigfishTV were gorgeous and thoughtfully created, so were a joy to bring to life.
