Hi Tiny Disco, I’m Bella!
I heard you were looking for a Junior Art Director; allow me to throw my hat in the ring.
A bit about me
I’m a designer, animator, illustrator and maker with a loud inside voice. When I’m excited about a new campaign, colour combo or snack that Woolies had on sale, everyone knows about it. The things that make my heart happy and my trackpad speedy are bright and minimal colour palettes, shapes that ooze a playful personality, and stuff that moves.
I’ve been creating professionally since 2017 as a graphic and motion designer, working both in-house as The Graphic Designer with dreamy creative teams and in-agency alongside other designers and creative gurus. I’ve also had the privilege of leading a volunteer team of photographers, videographers and graphic designers in planning, shooting and producing promotional campaigns for under 18 events.
My dream evening includes pouring myself a G&T before making a lemon and chicken orzo to share with friends and my husband.
A bit about my work
-
In 2016, I graduated with a sparkle in my eye from Design College Australia with a Diploma of Visual Communication.
I’ve been working as a graphic designer ever since, employed in-house at ACCTV, Christian Vision and Allkinds, agency-side at Aruga and across various freelance projects.
My portfolio includes end-to-end design solutions, including traditional and digital media, logo design, digital campaign promotional content, packaging, animation, illustration and branding. I’m proud to have worked with local and big-name brands, small challengers, start-ups and of course friends ❤️
-
My most recent role has been Digital Designer at a skin, hair and selfcare brand for teens called Allkinds. As the queen of all things Digi, I’ve applied my design thinking and practical software skills to anything our customer sees through a screen. Owning the digital roll-out of campaigns has meant I’ve been responsible for social media content, EDMs, web assets and animations for in-store LED displays. I’ve also jumped across to the print world occasionally to help FA a packaging dieline or piece of in-store signage when the team’s needed a hand.

I’m craving a role where I can wear lots of different hats, and work with a variety of gorgey creatives to create something that makes people stop and stare. I bring a varied toolkit to the table, which includes digital and print design, animation, illustration, art direction, painting and even sewing my own clothes.
Curious about the nitty gritty skills? I’m proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Ps, Ai, Indd, Ae), Figma, and know my way around Microsoft Office. Plus, I excel at office banter and supplying communal snacks.

Bella* Products
Product development + branding + art direction
In 2020, I challenged myself to develop and sell a new physical product each month for a year. It was an amazing experience in problem-solving (who knew all top coats were not created equal?), and while it was cut short by COVID it really developed a confidence in me that I can create anything I set my mind to with enough research, budget and sheer determination.
Calvary Youth
Creative direction + animation + graphic design
No two briefs were ever the same when creating campaign content for Calvary Youth’s various under-18 events. I loved creating and pitching concepts to the leadership team, and then coordinating and encouraging an ever-changing group of volunteers to produce a set of video, social and print assets that teenagers couldn’t resist. We tackled everything from a Vanity Fair-inspired formal night to an energetic hip-hop dance crew in an old machinery shed, to a tinsel-draped clothes rack in a car park. My favourite part of these projects was connecting with different artists who were all incredible in their fields, and communicating vision and execution in all those different working languages. You can see more of my campaign work here.
Allkinds “Breakfast Club” Campaign
animation + graphic design
One of my favourite campaigns to roll out while working at Allkinds has been our Breakfast Club collection. The product team developed such a playful and strong visual style, it was a joy to bring it to life across web, socials, EDMs, in-store screen animations and even on-set GFX.
Personal Illustrated Animations
ANIMATION + Illustration
Bringing moments, ideas, characters and everyday objects to life has been a passion project that’s then spilled over into professional settings. I’d love to bring the magic of personality to more motion projects in my next role.
Officeworks “Make and Create” Boxes
PACKAGING
I was brought on board by the team at Khemistry to ideate and execute the packaging for a new trial Officeworks product, a subscription-based activity box for kids. It was exciting to work inside of some clear and comprehensive brand guidelines for such a well-loved company while being encouraged to creatively chase a handful of different design options. In the end, we created 2 sets of packaging for 2 different boxes, alongside a collection of icons and some custom lettering.
My areas of experience include creating social media content (both static and animated), print materials, Instagram stickers, digital advertising assets and brand guidelines + templates. Let me know if you’d like to see examples of those!
